Best Japanese restaurant in Ukraine.

For the lovers of Japanese cuisine. Real authentic Japanese Chef. Tuna day every Thursday with Tuna cutting show (check on website as all can be changed). Quite cruel show... or authentic, depends on your thoughts on this matter, check videos and prices on the restaurant website before reserving the table to avoid frustration and stress. Very expensive. Not too impressive as for me, but make you own conclusion, I am just nof about it.

The food is good indeed if it ever arrives in time. It was very cold inside which gave the place a cheap feeling, despite good quality of decoration. The personnel was kind and offered us blankets. The computer broke and our son waited more than an hour for some noodles. Spoiled our Sunday family lunch. I gave it a star rating hoping someone will notice and fix the heating and the computers. Anyway, we won't be back.

Absolutely awesome spot! Ate here for the first time yesterday and loved it. Staff gave us a VIP room for no extra charge, the entire place was very clean, and most importantly the food was delicious. From the drinks to the cold and hot Sushi rolls to the desserts, I didn't have a single complaint. Also got a chance to meet the owner and his wife; both were very pleasant people. Definitely recommend this place as it is now my favorite Sushi restaurant in all of Ukraine.

The fish was reasonably fresh but not quite up to snuff. The salmon was slightly slimy and for over 2000 grivnas for two people I would expect better. Service was quite good and the environment was quite nice.

Best Japanese food in Ukraine (probably in Eastern Europe)

There's nothing to complain about on this restaurant. Beautiful interior, very polite staff, great food, great cocktails and whisky selection, quick service. Definitely recommending.

The best ever

NO DOUBT it's worth of trying ! It's hard to evaluate, cause I never experianced of genuine japaneese restaurant, may be this one feels exactly as beeing in japan, but I'm not sure having dish washing section (pitch) in Your observation is what I makes me feel comfortable and cozy.Maybe it has something that Japanees yearn for beeing far away from home - who knows, but definitely isn't my preference. The Sushi, for sure, is much better thah at any chain restaurant (Murakami, Eurasia, ...), but at the same time I'm not sure it's as better as expensive.So, again : it's quality, maybe delicious, moderate service, expensive (for Ukraine) $30 /person. Worth to try and make Your own impression!

The quality of fish was so so but for the price it was not that great. The sashimi was a bit soft and mushy. The price is higher than most places we have been here in Kiev. The interior is nice and good variety.

Very pricy and hot inside. Quality of food is really high and really authentic with Jspanese culture. If you want to try reall sushi it is your place to go. Good for once, probably once in a long while.

Delicious fish and seafood, friendly atmosphere, waitress was always ready to assist (even went to a nearby pharmacy to get a medicine for headache!) We'll definitely return :)

Very interesting range of dishes. The prices are steep but you can quickly see what you are paying for.1. The atmosphere All the servers are in kimonos. The tables are separated by Japanese wall which create privacy. 2. The foodInstead of a lot of rice and a bit of fish you really get a lot of tasty fish and a healthy amount of cheaper ingredients. The sea food is delicious and of great quality.Really enjoyed our visit although our stomachs were surprised with the unusual type of food 🥘

Watch your Bill closely, the menu will advertise one price, you will be billled 3 times the amount for drinks an wine on your bill. Its a corrupt and Crooked scheme they run. I odered 3 glasses of Plum wine listed at 125 UAH on the Menu, an was billed for 9. The waitress admitted it was a mistake but the corrupt Management would not budge.I paid the bill and will dispute this with my credit card. The Food was good an service ok, this is the 2nd an last time I will go to Fujiwara Yoshi. I will not support a place with a corrupt scheme and practice. There are more honest decent places to go!

Best Japanese restaurant in town. Location is rather inconvenient but it’s worth the effort

Highly expensive and mediocre food that deviates from and insults actual authentic Japanese food. I've been coming here for a while now and to say the least, their version of sushi is either overly sugary and weird or filled with mayonnaise. The most hideous thing they've done is fried sushi. The whole purpose of sushi to its core is to deliver a flavor of umami, not fried grease. I'm highly disappointed because in the states or in japan, sushi like this would immediately thrown into the trash. Suffice to say, don't go here. Japanese food in Kyiv is a scam and an insult to authentic Japanese food.

It was delicious
